Wystawę Enligten me / Oświeć mnie tworzą:

• Plakaty, projekty stron strony internetowych, publikacje książkowe, obrazujące zagrożenia wynikające z zanieczyszczenia środowiska- powstałe w Pracowni Wydawnictw i Publikacji Cyfrowych prowadzonej przez dr Justynę Machnicką i mgr Aleksandrę Zaborską.
• Studenckie prace projektowe dotyczące oświetlenia i jego zastosowania w nietypowych warunkach i w niekonwencjonalny sposób. „Prezentowane projekty powstały w celu nawiązania pewnej symbiozy pomiędzy światłem – sztucznym a przestrzenią – atmosferą i światłem naturalnym. Formy oświetleniowe, lampy, a czasem instalacje stały się pewnego rodzaju polemiką, próbą interakcji z użytkownikiem, którego medium – głównym bohaterem dialogu jest światło, jego transformacje oraz nowatorskie rozwiązania w zakresie funkcji i formy”- tak o projektach mówi prowadząca przedmiot Projektowanie oświetlenia dr Olga Kiedrowicz- Świtalska.
• przedmiot Projektowanie oświetlenia prowadzą: dr Olga Kiedrowicz- Świtalska, mgr Agata Legawiec, stażystka Kamila Osowicz.
• Metaforycznym nawiązaniem do hasła Oświeć mnie – rozumianego jako „uświadom mnie, odkryj przede mną prawdę” będzie rzeźba Małgorzaty Kopczyńskiej, reprezentującej nurt dizajn-artu, oraz obiekty Doroty Tołłoczko Femerling, Eweliny Maksimiuk, i interaktywna instalacja Karoliny Kalety.

Kurator wystawy: Małgorzata Kopczyńska prowadzi na stanowisku profesora nadzwyczajnego Pracownię Rzeźby i Transformacji Cyfrowych na Akademii Sztuki w Szczecinie. Zorganizowała jako kurator wiele wystaw zbiorowych, między innymi: Idealiści i prowokatorzy w Galerii Miejskiej BWA w Bydgoszczy, czy cykl Miasto Kobiet w Muzeum Techniki i Komunikacji w Szczecinie. Obecnie jako twórczynię absorbuje ją wzajemne przenikanie się designu i rzeźby. W swojej pracy szuka pomostów formalnych i treściowych pomiędzy tradycją, a współczesnością.

Akademia Sztuki w Szczecinie jest pierwszą w Polsce publiczną uczelnią artystyczną kształcącą w dwóch różnych dziedzinach- muzyka i sztuki wizualne. Powstała w 2010 roku, kształci na kierunkach grafiki, architektury wnętrz, malarstwa, sztuki mediów, wzornictwa, instrumentalistyki i edukacji muzycznej.

Enlighten me / Oświeć mnie

An exposition of chosen projects by the lecturers and students of the Visual Arts Division of the Szczecin Academy of Art. In reference to the title of the exposition Enlighten me/Oświeć mnie – understood as inform me, show me the truth, featured will be the sculpture Goldenhaired/Złotowłosa by Małgorzata Kopczyńska, an object in the style of design-art. The sculpture, adorned with golden leaves, bridges the futuristic forms with a classical, collected, serene impression of the images of the meditating Buddha—only this time the image belongs to a veiled woman, who emanates delicate light like a halo around her mysterious head.

The exposition also features:
– The centre of copper, by Olga Kiedrowicz-Świtalska and Agata Legawiec. A project of lighting, which through the chosen material—copper—naturally utilizes the warm, sensual colour of this metal.
The Sensual light of the lamp is said to have ”a nearly mystical aura” (sic!), and helps one to stop for a moment and focus on the beauty of the everyday life, and so it might serve a therapeutic purpose whenever it sheds a new light on a cup of coffee sipped in relaxation, or the presence of a companion at the meal.
– Posters, website projects and book publications concerning the dangers of the environmental pollution—created in the Publishers-and-Digital Publication Workshop, led by Justyna Machnicka, PhD, and Aleksandra Zaborska, MA. Representative for this section is the poster by Justyna
Machnnicka Time for a Change, which could serve as a clear logo of the air pollution problem. It stimulates a reflection over the time that remains for us to halt the process of smog toxification of the air and land.
– Waves in the Urban Space/Fale w przestrzeni miejskiej by Karolina Kaleta, the leader of the students’ scientific association Pryzmat and a student of the Cybergraphics Workshop of Arkadiusz Marcinkowski, PhD. The Waves… is a cyber installation showcasing the noise pollution dangers
present in the big cities. The project converts the sounds of the urban space into a graphic form similar to distortion waves. The installation has two modes of work: using pre-recorded sounds, or sounds recoded by it’s microphone.
– The art exhibition Sweet Lights by Ewelina Maksimiuk, featuring biodegradeable forms at the verge of design and sculpture, exploring new possibilities of using unconventional materials, which might bring in new aesthetic or productive qualities to the DIY-type lighting. It is in a way a play with the convention of design and, through the atypical matter used, a recollection of one’s childhood.
– The lightbox of Dorota Tołłoczko Femerling—Illumination/Iluminacja, which also serves as a connector of design, graphics and sculpture. The work illustrates a dense agglomeration, which through a culture of oppulence falls into a sensory and aesthetic chaos.
– Student project works concerning the lighting and its uses in atypical conditions and in an unconventional way. „The projects presented have been created to establish a symbiosis between artificial light and the space around—the air and the natural light. The illuminating forms—lamps,
and sometimes installations—have become a certain polemic, or discussion, with a user whose medium and main character in the dialogue is the light, it’s transformations and innovative solutions for function and form”– such is the description of the project by the Light Design professor Olga
Kiedrowicz-Świtalska, PhD as well as the assistant Agata Legawiec, and Kamila Osowicz, a trainee.

The curator of the exposition: Małgorzata Kopczyńska
Teaches as a professor extraordinarius at the Sculpture and Cyber-Transformations Workshop at the Szczecin Academy of Art. She was a curator of the Dean’s Gallery, and afterwards a founder of the Gallery R+ of the Academy. She has organized many collective expositions, including: Idealists and Provocateurs/Idealiści i prowokatorzy in the City Gallery in Bydgoszcz and The City of Women series at the Museum of Technology and Transport in Szczecin. Currently her focus as a creator lies on the interfusion of design and sculpture. Through her work she seeks formal and contentual bridges
between the tradition and modernity.
